Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE) and the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) programs of the Quezon City University adopts an outcomes-based curriculum as prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and in accordance with CMO No. 101, series of 2018 and CMO No. 96, series of 2017 respectively.

Industrial Engineering (BSIE)


The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (IE) program is designed to prepare the student for professional work in designing, improving, installing, and maintaining integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, methods, and energy. The curriculum covers the engineering and social sciences, principles, and methods of systems analysis and design, industrial management, and human behavior.


Electronics Engineering (BSECE)


The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering course focuses on electronic design and implementation of systems, processes, and products in the fields of telecommunications which includes data communications and computer networks, satellite and optical fiber communications, computer programming and interfacing, electronics devices, and circuits, automation and process control, robotics, embedded systems, and instrumentation.

Admission Requirements For BSECE

To be admitted to the BSECE program, the students must be able to meet the following requirements:

Retention Policies For BSECE

The retention policy aims to:
  1. Increase the academic standards of the Quezon City University.
  2. Encourage the students to meet the minimum requirements of the electronics engineering field.
  3. Improve the probability of the Electronics Engineering graduates in passing the board examination.

To be retained in the BSECE program, the following policies shall be applied:
  1. On the 1st and 2nd year, a student admitted into the program must have no failing grades greater than 50% of the total units enrolled per semester for major subjects (technical courses as defined by the CMO 101 s 2017 Section 11.1).
  2. On the 3rd and 4th years, the university retention policy shall be applied.

Policies On Transferee Or Student/S Shifting To BSECE Program

  1. A student shall be accepted in the BSECE program provided that he/she passed the QCU Admission Test with a general average of 85% and above.
  2. A student shall be accepted in the BSECE program provided that he/she has no grade lower than 2.25 or below 83% in all his/her subjects.
  3. A student must be of good moral character.
  4. A student must pass the interview and/or examination administered by the Dean or Program Chair, who will recommend for admission.
